All of our candles are made from 100% soy wax. This means that there are no toxins being released into your home when you burn our lovely candles. Our soy wax is derived from natural vegetables, whereas paraffin wax (the most popular candle wax on the market) is a refined gasoline by-product. This means that soy wax is 100% biodegradable while paraffin wax is not. Soy wax also burns longer than paraffin wax and releases fragrance easier, so it was a no-brainer for us to use soy wax.  

The box you received your candle in is recyclable and our packing peanuts are biodegradable, you just add water to them and they disappear- it is incredibly satisfying as well as being good for the environment.  

The candles are all vegan and cruelty-free. This was an absolute must for us at Candles for Conscent, as big animal lovers ourselves.  

Our glass jars are high quality and can easily be re used after you have finished your candle. When there is about 1cm of wax left just pop them in the freezer overnight and the next morning it will pop out (also extremely satisfying). Or you can pour boiling water into the jar, leave it for an hour and the remaining wax should rise to the top.
